I installed the Grammarly desktop app on my Windows 10 device and had no concerns checking in to my account. The app looks fantastic and the layout is extremely practical; I especially like the side panel’s dark accents and minimalist icons. Users can pick between making up text directly in an editor and importing an existing file.
If you just copy and paste text from a Word document into the Grammarly app, Grammarly states it just maintains italic and strong format, links, headers, and lists. You won’t see any formatted text while you work in the Grammarly editor, but the file retains all of the original formatting whenever you export it.
