Grammarly’s Apps…Grammarly School…
I set up the Grammarly desktop app on my Windows 10 device and had no concerns signing in to my account. The app looks great and the design is highly functional; I especially like the side panel’s dark accents and minimalist icons. Users can pick in between composing text directly in an editor and importing an existing document.
If you simply paste and copy text from a Word document into the Grammarly app, Grammarly states it only maintains vibrant and italic formatting, headers, links, and lists. You won’t see any formatted text while you work in the Grammarly editor, but the document maintains all of the original format whenever you export it.
Since the editor now thankfully includes format tools such as for bold, italics, highlights, lists, headings, and links (both bulleted and numbered), you could just compose straight in the Grammarly app. It’s likely easier to keep writing in Word or Google Docs and utilize the devoted Grammarly tools for those platforms.
